technically you only need to bring money =)

otherwise, life counter, dice, boosters, you're set.

Pen, Paper and counters are all you really should bring and good on you for bringing separate counters as opposed to ripping up pieces of paper to use those as your counters. I know tournament organizers who love that.

Let us know about your experience, NVanTy. I haven't heard anything about Big Pete's yet. Have fun!

If you bring anything but your money, you're already being more responsible than most new comers.

And if you manage to win a single game, you did better than I did on my first try

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but you should also bring an extra set of 40 sleeves with you if you have them, as they help protect the cards you just drafted and make it easier to shuffle/etc. If you don't have extra sleeves, I recommend buying a pack before the draft and just using those ones every week :)

very good advice. bring sleeves so if you crack or get passed any money cards you want to play, they won't get destroyed in the draft. Also, find out if you keep what you draft or if they do a rare draft afterwards. you might want to make your picks differently depending on which they do. bring more than 40 sleeves if you can, in case a sleeve rips.

A reminder: FNMs are not allowed to require rare drafting afterward. You keep what you draft unless you agree to something else.

When Aurian and I went to our first FNM, we brought a lot of dice and tokens. We were also in the minority. Plenty of people do not bring dice and other stuff with them, so bringing extras never hurts.
